"Utterly Unrelated" (Session Ledger)

A quick-dump scratchpad reachable from anywhere for intrusive thoughts. Must open automatically upon closing the app. Operates on a "Session Ledger" architecture:

  • Active Session (Clean Slate): Opens over the workspace as a slightly transparent, monospace, formatting-free overlay.
  • Exit Checkpoint (Read-Only): On app close, the overlay switches to a read-only review screen. Text is broken into chunks with individual [Copy] buttons.
  • Immutable History: Once the app closes, the session is frozen by Nim and appended to a historical log.
  • Carry Forward (Bump): A button on historical chunks allows the user to push/inject an unaddressed thought.

Trigger on close

Just jotting it down so i don't forget:

Triggers on close only if it's not empty. BUT if it is, it should say so so they author doesn't have to wonder whether it just bugged or was empty.

I was thinking about how the session ledger as defined is pretty great but it doesn't work for intrusive thoughts to happen to be related to stuck. by "related to stuck" i mean related to something else that happens to only be doable in stuck (like adding notes or writing stuff in another book).

I think for this scenario it might be good to have a different functionality that actually allows you to "push" atomic notes to another book or to the bookshelf. There should be an option for all of them to actually be pushed onto the bookshelf whether or not they're also given a more granular target. Even if this is enabled, there should be the possibility to push something to a book (to send it there so it stops appearing in the bookshelf) from the bookshelf.

I think the overall notes should be expandable (rollable, etc.) and each note should porentially be allowed to have both a title and a description because you don't need the whole description to remember it exists but sometimes you need to list more precise things.

For things that are given more specific target (which can only be among the list of books already loaded into the app obviously), they can also be shown in the book homepage.

And whether or not showing them all in the bookshelf is enabled, it should be possible to tag them onto a new project (mutliple ones?) whether or not they already have one (without removing it from the bookshelf which is another feature).

I think maybe the note itself shouldn't be mutable but it should be possible to append to it. the idea being that it remains used to keep intrusive thoughts not to be used as an overarching note feature.
